E.ON E-WORLD

E-world energy & water is the leading European trade fair for the energy and water industry, which takes place annually in Essen. In line with the two guiding principles ‘Energise your City’ and ‘Let’s create a better tomorrow’, E.ON presented itself here as a solution provider for an increasingly ecological and digital energy world.

FORUM your brandbuilder GmbH was responsible for the concept development, design and construction of the exhibition stand for this project. The Solingen-based company commissioned us with the planning and coordination of the event and media technology.

Site management

In order to play content on the extremely narrow and therefore difficult LED surfaces of the ‘Eiche’, it first had to be produced. To do this, we viewed, sorted and cut so much material that we ended up with a 1-hour loop in the company’s CI. The LED tiles, which symbolised the tree roots, also displayed a variety of visual worlds to match. In the evening, the tree was then used as a projection surface for VJ material, which – perfectly coordinated with the music – atmospherically transformed the entire stand.

Interactive elements

We played a key role in the development and, in particular, the storytelling of the interactive elements – the map of Germany, the 1:1 turning screens and the touch tables. All tools were highly frequented during the trade fair, proving once again that the combination of analogue elements and digital information retrieval is extremely effective.

Project management

We also took over the technical project management on site for our client FORUM and were responsible for the entire event management and content management for the day and evening programme.

The exhibition area was designed to present the energy supplier’s various customer solutions in a way that could be experienced emotionally. The central element was a stylised oak tree. This had to be staged in a media-technically eye-catching way. E.ON also wanted interactive elements on the stand that would invite trade fair visitors to engage with the company’s innovations in a playful way. In terms of sustainability, it was important to those responsible at E.ON that all installations would continue to be used beyond this trade fair.
